FRED SMITH GOVERNOR 2008 - "A Little Extra Effort" Statewide BBQ Tour
Fred got an early start with a visit to Winston-Salem Journal followed by lunch with the homebuilders of Forsyth. The BBQ team met him at the Dixie Classic Fairgrounds where Fred greeted visitors to the fair- the largest I'm told, next to the state fair. We headed to the NC National Guard Armory on Silas Creek Parkway and were pleasantly surprised to have almost all of our 200 seats filled. Senator Pete Brunstetter introduced Fred and I got to visit with my old friend and now Forsyth County Commissioner Bill Whiteheart. Fred felt right at home, being close to Wake Forest University. A night like tonight, surrounded by people with a genuine interest in Fred and the issues he wants to work on as Governor, makes it all seem doable. So we'll continue to stay focused, work hard and excite the people to become an army of voters that vote for Fred Smith. Forsyth, a great way to end the week!
